How to make a good coffee?

Coffee is a drink of taste, which is consistantly standardized by the consumer with its good or bad features.

Because the consumer chooses the type of drink and the final taste according to their personal interests. In general terms, good coffee is coffee that receives between 80 and 100 points (on a scale of 0.100) according to the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) score range.

Now, this test and scoring has rules and methods that only researchers, coffee quality officers and coffee quality specialists can give a score to roasted coffee beans, which in this field is also divided into two parts: Arabica quality control and Robusta quality control. But what does this have to do with making the perfect coffee?

We first ensure the pure quality of our coffee based on the score of the relevant officers and specialists. Then, according to the type of extraction or brewing, we prepare our product.

If it is for extracting, it is better to use the main element of the SCA organization, that means two milliliters of water (average 36 grams) for each gram of coffee.

In the brewing mode, this ratio of water to our coffee, is very different from extraction, because in this mode, pressure is not involved, and the coffee brew is completely removed by gravity. In a more comprehensive article, we will discuss the brewing method in different ways and types of brewing equipments separately

  • So, in general, in a simple collection, coffee is entirely selected based on taste, and by considering comprehensive principles and international methods of extraction and brewing, we can achieve a good coffee based on our personal taste.
